Our state-of-the-art facilities utilize advanced technology to ensure consistency and quality while\u00a0meeting the evolving needs of our consumers and customers\r\n<h2>Position Overview<\/h2>\r\nThis is a newly created position that will be based out of our Milton manufacturing facility and will be responsible for development and maintenance of the Quality Management System.\r\n\r\nThe successful applicant for this opportunity has knowledge of SQF and\/or other GFSI, knowledge of HACCP, is a strong communicator, highly organized, and capable of working independently or in a team environment. This role will also include any ad-hoc activities required.\r\n\r\nPlease note that this position will require you to work on-site.\u00a0 There will be a requirement to provide coverage for Days and Afternoon shift along with occasional support for the other shifts including Nights and weekends.\r\n<h2>Responsibilities<\/h2>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Own site written Quality Management System ensuring local site Quality policies exist which are in line with Dare Corporate Policy, customer requirements and relevant GFSI schemes.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Drive continuous improvement and modernization of Quality tools and systems.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Develop and support execution of quality related education and training<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Lead Food Safety Team meetings and keep site Food Safety Plans up to date.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Lead the site Internal Auditing program, launch testing of the traceability system and ensure the site CAPA program is functioning as intended<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Oversee site Training program on quality standard and GMP practices<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Assume a leadership role during GFSI and customer audits<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Own raw and pack supplier approvals and risk assessments for the site<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Organize and coordinate the activities of quality team around promoting food safety and quality culture and standards<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Support any on floor Quality \/ Food Safety incident and complaint investigations<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Back up and support for the Quality Manager position<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h2>Qualifications<\/h2>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>College or Bachelor degree in Food Science Technology\/Engineering or related field<\/li>\r\n \t<li>3 \u2013 5 years relevant working experience in a food manufacturing environment<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Broad range of experience with Operational Systems and GMP Programs<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Knowledge of confectionary processes is an asset<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong knowledge of SQF or similar GFSI programs<\/li>\r\n \t<li>SQF Practitioner Certification and PCQI certification are an asset<\/li>\r\n \t<li>HACCP and Food Safety practical and theoretical knowledge<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong technical writing skills, with experience developing Quality Programs<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Knowledge of the principles of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing would be considered an asset<\/li>\r\n \t<li>A history of meeting and exceeding challenging performance goals; a desire to \u201cwin\u201d<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Ability to perform tasks effectively both individually and as a member of a team<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong communication skills<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Ability to multi-task<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong skills in Word, Excel to manage and analyze quality data<\/li>\r\n<\/ul><br\/>&nbsp;<br\/>\r\n<strong>Total Rewards Package<\/strong>: Our Total Rewards package reflects the investment we make in our employees to help them and their families achieve their well-being goals.
